Find candidates and connect
The Talent Pool at /employer/talent shows anonymized profiles of skilled trades workers and apprentices. Profiles are anonymized on purpose: you see trade, location, years of experience, skills, certifications, and an exam readiness score, but not personal contact details until the person agrees to connect.
- Open /employer/talent and filter by trade, province, and minimum readiness percentage.
- Open a profile to see skills, verified certifications, and the readiness score in detail.
- Write a short message introducing yourself and the opportunity, then send a connection request.
- The candidate gets notified and can accept or decline. Track every request you have sent under /employer/connections.
Be specific in your connection message. A clear note about the role, pay, and location gets more replies than a generic introduction.
Verified credentials and readiness
Two things help you judge a candidate when most of the pool is still pre-certification: verified credential badges and an exam readiness score.
- Verified badges come from documents the worker uploaded and the system checked, so you can weigh credentials with more confidence.
- The readiness score reflects how prepared a candidate is for their Red Seal exam, which is useful when judging apprentices and students.
- Skills and certifications are listed on each profile alongside trade and experience.
