The Materials Library is your personal digital filing cabinet for all your study materials. Upload textbooks, notes, diagrams, and equipment manuals - then use AI to instantly find answers across all your documents.
PDFs, Word docs, images - up to 200MB per file
Automatic tagging, topic extraction, and searchable content
Create nested folders to organize by course, semester, or topic
Chat with your materials - get answers from your own documents
There are two easy ways to add materials to your library:
Simply drag files from your computer and drop them anywhere on the Materials page. You can drop multiple files at once. If you have a folder open, files will be added to that folder.
Click the "Upload" button in the toolbar to open a file picker. Select one or more files from your computer. Hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) to select multiple files.

When you upload a file, our AI automatically processes it:
Processing typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on file size. You'll see a progress indicator while it's being processed.
You can create folders inside folders for deeper organization:
Electrical/
Theory/
Chapter 1 - Basics.pdf
Chapter 2 - Circuits.pdf
Code Book/
CEC 2024.pdf
Move files between folders using drag and drop:
You can also select multiple items (checkbox) and use the "Move" action from the toolbar.
When you upload a file, AI automatically generates relevant tags based on the content. For example, a wiring diagram might get tags like "electrical", "wiring", "residential", "120V". These tags help you find materials later.
Add your own tags to any material:
Add tags to multiple materials at once:
Use the search bar at the top to find materials by:

The Ask AI feature lets you have a conversation with your study materials. Instead of manually searching through documents, just ask a question in plain language.
"What is the torque spec for cylinder head bolts?"
AI searches your service manuals and returns the specification
"Explain the difference between series and parallel circuits"
AI pulls explanations from your textbooks and notes
"What are the lockout/tagout steps in my safety manual?"
AI finds and summarizes the procedure from your documents
"Find all references to conduit sizing"
AI locates every mention across all your materials
When you ask a question, the AI:
Your Ask AI conversations are saved automatically. To view past chats:
Google Docs and Sheets are automatically converted to PDF format when imported.
Free accounts include 100MB of storage for study materials. This is enough for:

You can also see storage usage in Settings > Billing.
Create a folder structure that mirrors your courses or school terms. For example: "Year 1 > Electrical Theory > Chapters" or "2024 Fall Semester > HVAC". This makes it easy to find materials when studying for specific exams.
While AI generates tags automatically, add your own tags that make sense to you. Use tags like "exam-prep", "important", "review-needed", or specific topic names. Consistent tagging makes searching much faster.
Before uploading, rename files to be descriptive. "Chapter 5 - Motor Controls.pdf" is much easier to find than "scan001.pdf". Good file names improve search results and make browsing easier.
Periodically review your materials and remove outdated or duplicate files. This keeps your library organized and your storage usage low. You can delete materials from the details panel or by selecting multiple items and clicking Delete.
